Pastor Clarence J. Parks, JD, MDiv

Education

Pastor Clarence J. Parks received a high school diploma from DC Public Schools.  He then attended and graduated from Morehouse College, in Atlanta Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.  After working for a while, Pastor Parks attended The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law where he obtained a Juris Doctor Degree (Law Degree).  When he was called to ministry, he matriculated through The Yale University Divinity School and obtained a Master of Divinity Degree.

Ministerial Journey:

Pastor Parks accepted the call to ministry on August 25, 1995. He preached first sermon on December 31, 1995 and was licensed to Preach in The United Methodist Church, August 1997. Soon therefater, Pastor Clarence became The Senior Pastor of Saint Marks United Methodist Church in Boyds, Maryland 1998-2003. Pastor Parks was then led to become the founding pastor of Peace and Power Ministries on April 16, 2004 which is where he still serves as pastor.

Pastor Parks authored a pamphlet entitled:

"Prayer Changes Things! Ten Helpful Hints to Get Your Prayers Answered"

Pastor Clarence has also authored a God/Self Help book entitled:

"Overcome Procrastination God's Way!" (to be released in 2009).
